Information:
Big Woods is a 'log homes only' development. Protective
covenants help preserve it's unique atmosphere. All log homes
and out buildings will be brown or other earth tone colors.
The tax rate is approximately $15.35 per $1000. The private
Big Woods Road is maintained by Big Woods Association. It
is plowed in winter for year round access. Association
dues are currently $200 per year.
Directions
to Big Woods from Massachusetts and point south:
Go north on Route I-95 to Portland, take exit 48 (formerly
exit 8), turn right onto Riverside Street and follow it to
Route 302, go left on Route 302 and follow to Naples, go right
on Route 35, go 4 1/2 miles, go right on Fogg Road, the
end, go left, 300 feet go right at Big Woods sign.

Unfinished log home (when available) usually includes:
Building lot, access to 17 acre common area, full concrete
foundation with floor and bulkhead (with stairs), complete
log home shell (with door, windows, asphalt shingles) plus
porch, exterior stain, all exterior site work including
driveway, drilled well (with pump and tank), complete
septic system. This is a quality built log home, built of
kiln dried white pine or cedar logs completely finished on
the outside but totally unfinished on the inside. You can
finish the interior to own liking. We have list of reliable local
contractors willing to help you finish work.
**Some
restrictions apply. We have reliable local contractors who
will build you log home, or you could contract with log home manufacturer.
